Telkom CSR Days: Digital World Provides Unlimited Space to be Expressive and Creative

Situation of ´Untuk Indonesia´ (For Indonesia) talk show in CSR Days event with Keenan Pearce, Ernanda Putra, Arief Muhammad, and GAC music group.

Jakarta, July 13, 2017 - Celebrating the 52nd Anniversary on July 6, 2017, PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) holds Telkom CSR Days. The event was held on July 12-13, 2017, at Telkom Landmark Tower, Jakarta. CSR Days was organized to shape the theme of Telkom’s 52nd Anniversary, which is ‘Telkom Indonesia, Untuk Indonesia’ (Telkom Indonesia, For Indonesia). Telkom wants to give benefits to people in Indonesia through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.

The first day of CSR Days began with a blood donor supported by the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) and Blood4Life Community. Besides that, there was a talk show with a theme of ‘Untuk Indonesia’ (For Indonesia) with Keenan Pearce and Ernanda Putra (founder of Makna Creative), Arief Muhammad (writer and vlogger) as the resource persons, a fashion show called Fashion Shock by Rafi Ridwan and a live music show with GAC music group.

The theme of the talk show was initiated to highlight the role of youths for Indonesia with their work and creativity, particularly in the digital era. The resource persons are youths who have done something positive and inspiring. Through the talk show, Telkom hopes they could inspire the young generation to do positive things for Indonesia, particularly through the digital world.

Digital world provides an unlimited space to express and explore creativity. Keenan explained that the digital era exists in our era, so every people must be able to interact with the digital world in the future. He considers that the digital world is a source of inspiration and references.

"As a digital enthusiast, we must be responsible for every content that we’ve made. We want the content to be positive and inspire others to create the similar work because a good work must be able to be enjoyed by everyone," Ernanda added.

Arief Muhammad said that his role for Indonesia is shaped through his vlogs that explore many places in Indonesia that are still unknown to the public. Through his vlog, Arief hopes that the public would recognize the diversity in Indonesia. "Millennials get all the information from the digital world. As a content creator, we use it positively," he explained.

CSR Days also presented a fashion show called Fashion Shock by Rafi Ridwan, the youngest deaf designer in Indonesia who’s famous in the international world. At the end of the event, GAC closed the event with a music performance by singing a song titled ‘Untuk Indonesia’ (For Indonesia).

CSR Days is a form of support from Telkom to motivate and inspire young Indonesian generations who have a social awareness, entrepreneurship and could make a positive contribution to Indonesia.
