TelkomGroup, Taspen Develop Pension Payment Service Digitalization

Jakarta, October 17, 2017 – PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) and PT Taspen have agreed to synergize to develop and implement pension payment service digitalization that puts forward business-to-business (B to B) principle. The agreement was mentioned in the partnership contract signed by Telkom Enterprise & Business Service Director Dian Rachmawan and General Director of PT Taspen, Bagus Rumbogo, and witnessed by the President Director of PT Taspen, Iqbal Latanro, in Jakarta, Tuesday (17/10).

Dian Rachmawan appreciates PT Taspen for trusting TelkomGroup to provide digital telecommunications service to support the improvement of service quality for retirees. "As a state-run company (SOE) that has core competence in information and communication technology (ICT), starting from cloud, managed service, data center, payment system, monitoring system, satellite operation and many others. TelkomGroup is ready to support Taspen’s digital revolution in short, mid, and long-term. Thank you to Taspen for trusting TelkomGroup to support the digitalization of Taspen, particularly in pension payment service, so retirees are expected to enjoy easier integrated payment process," Dian Rachmawan said.

Meanwhile, Iqbal Latanro said that the development and implementation of pension payment service digitalization are expected to make Taspen capable of obtaining valid data of retirees. "This partnership on development and implementation of digitalization is expected to become the best solution in controlling pension payment based on 5T principles, one of them is the Accurate Principle as a proof of life. This will simplify monitoring and reconciliation process and minimize fraud cases," Iqbal Latanro added.

This development and implementation of digitalization are done through Taspen Smartcard implementation and e-New Dapem system development. Taspen Smartcard is the identity card of retirees with a basis of biometric data that can also be used as an ATM and debit card. Taspen Smartcard is also developed into a card that provides benefits for retirees, such as discounts in some merchants. The multifunctional card is expected to improve the satisfaction of participants. The smartcard implementation is also supported with the e-New Dapem payment data electronic application system, which is the improved e-Dapem system that integrates payment partners with one application through a verification/authentication device for payment partners and TASPEN participants.

In the partnership, TelkomGroup provides integrated ICT service to support the implementation of Taspen Smartcard e-New Dapem through the digitalization of improvement process, digital culture transformation, customer experience, and many others. Telkom also provides supporting devices for enrollment, such as cameras, laptop, face, fingerprint, and voice scanners for data authentication, including the life status of retirees.

TelkomGroup also prepares digital solutions, which is a web-based app and network, so it can be accessed by real-time from Taspen branch offices and Taspen’s payment partners; data center to manage the database, payment switching system, authentication and verification system, helpdesk & contact center, and Taspen Smartcard supporting system.

Iqbal Latanro asserts the digital era must be used as an opportunity to improve services for participants. "With the synergy and support from TelkomGroup, we hope Taspen could give the best services more than the participants expected. This partnership is also expected to improve the company performance and efficiency," said Iqbal Latanro.

In the future, the partnership is expected to improve the quality of products and services of both SOEs, both on the national and global level.
