Jakarta, 3 November 2017 - PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) through IndiHome shows their support to the development, of national basketball sport by becoming the sponsor of the biggest basketball competition in Indonesia, Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) 2017-2018. The support follows up their support to the previous events, NBL 2010-2012, NBL 2012-2014, NBL 2014-2015 dan IBL 2016-2017. The involvement of IndiHome in IBL 2017-2018 is believed to make the event more interesting and competitive.
Vice President of Telkom’s Consumer Marketing Management, Jemy Confido, said that IndiHome has been supporting the development of basketball sport in Indonesia through NBL and IBL since 2010. IndiHome’s sponsorship in IBL 2017-2018 is expected to improve the performance of top Indonesian basketball athletes and the sports industry in Indonesia. "On top of that, Telkom’s presence through IndiHome also supports IBL to become a professional basketball league and a continuous competition," Jemy explained.
All basketball lovers in Indonesia may watch Indonesian Basketball League that will be broadcasted live on IndiHome UseeTV, starting from the opening match to the final match on UseePRIME Ch.88.
Further, Jemy Confido added that the great number of basketball lovers in Indonesia make IndiHome become a sponsor in this year’s IBL. As a sponsor, he hopes that the next IBL would present exciting and entertaining matches for Indonesian people. "Basketball becomes a favorite sport for Indonesian people, particularly youths. After the previous season, Season 2017-2018, IndiHome returns as a sponsor," Jemy added.
Through IBL competition that’s known to have the highest level in Indonesia, IndiHome hopes Indonesian professional basketball athletes would be born, not only at the national level but also at the international level. IBL as the only biggest official basketball competition in Indonesia promises a performance that’s different from the previous season.
The first series of IBL will officially start in Jakarta on 8th to 10th December 2017. After that, the 2017-2018 season of IBL will come to other cities, such as Bandung (15th-17th of December 2017), Semarang (22nd-24th of December 2017), Yogyakarta (13th-14th of January 2018), Solo (19th-21st of January 2018), Malang (26th-28th of January 2018), Surabaya (2nd-4th of February 2018) and Cirebon (23rd-25th of February 2018).
