Jakarta, 30 November 2017 - An international business consultant agency, Frost & Sullivan, grants accolades to PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) as "Indonesia Telecom Service Provider of The Year" and "2017 Indonesia Fixed Broadband Service Provider of The Year". Telkom Consumer Service Director Mas’ud Khamid received the accolades at Frost & Sullivan Indonesia Excellence Award 2017 event held in Jakarta, Tuesday (28/11).
Three Telkom’s subsidiaries also received the similar accolades. PT Telkomsel (Telkomsel) won two accolades, which are Indonesia Digital Service Provider and Indonesia m-money Service Provider of The Year for their TCASH service. Meanwhile, PT Sigma Cipta Caraka (Telkomsigma) won an accolade as Indonesia Managed Service Provider of The Year, and PT Infomedia Nusantara (Infomedia) won an accolade as Indonesia Outsourcing Contact Service Provider of The Year.
Mas’ud Khamid thanks Frost & Sullivan for granting the accolades to them. "The accolades are our achievement that makes us proud because it reflects the public and customers’ positive response to the innovative services created by TelkomGroup in a sustainable way, particularly in developing the digital lifestyle in Indonesia. The achievement also shows the trust of stakeholders to TelkomGroup," Mas’ud Khamid said. The achievement also shows that TelkomGroup is consistent in maintaining good business performance from year to year.
Frost & Sullivan grants the accolades to TelkomGroup because the company is considered of having superior leadership, innovative technology, the best customer service and products strategic development in the industry. The state-owned digital telecommunications company is also considered capable of surpassing the limits as a company with a satisfying performance and shows its contribution to the Indonesian economic growth development.
Mas’ud Khamid hopes the achievements of TelkomGroup would present more innovations, and gives positive contributions to the economy of Indonesia, particularly in Indonesian digital economy development.
Telkom’s achievement in becoming the 2017 Indonesia Fixed Broadband Service Provider of the year shows that Telkom has become the best fixed broadband service provider. In the third quarter of 2017, Telkom’s fixed broadband service shows a significant growth with 4.75 million customers. The number of customers includes 2.34 million IndiHome customers, and the ARPU IndiHome reaches Rp308,000. Until the end of September 2017, the number of IndiHome customers increases by 53.6% from last year in the same period, which reaches 1.52 million customers.
Telkom’s net profit increases by 21.7% to 17.92 trillion. The increasing net profit is supported by the income that increases by 12.5% to Rp97 trillion. Most of the growth is contributed by data, internet & IT service growth that reaches 30.5%. Data, internet & IT service becomes the main contributor to the performance growth, which contributes 43.8% to the company’s total income.
Besides that, Telkomsel achievement in becoming Indonesia Digital Service Provider of The Year shows Telkom’s commitment in providing the best digital services to give great customer experience. In the third quarter of 2017, the income of Telkomsel digital services grows rapidly by 30.7% to Rp2.74 trillion. Key product & services in the segment consisting of Digital Lifestyle (VAS, Video, Games & Market Place, Music), Digital Banking & Advertising, Enterprise Digital Services (T-Drive, T-Bike, etc), and Mobile Financial Services with TCASH and T-Wallet products.
Meanwhile, Telkomsel’s achievement in becoming Indonesia m-money Service Provider of The Year is a form of appreciation to Telkomsel TCASH service, which is an innovation of TelkomGroup in financial technology to support the development of less-cash society in Indonesia. As an electronic money service, TCASH can be used by all Telkomsel’s customers, both prepaid and postpaid.
