Jakarta, 20 December 2017 - PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) wins "The Most Trusted Company" award based on the Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) in the Most Trusted Companies Award 2017. The accolade is given by the Chairman of IICG, G. Suprayitno, and Chief Editor of SWA Group, Kemal Effendi Gani, to the Financial Director of Telkom, Harry M. Zen, in the 16th CGPI Conference and Award Night held by SWA magazine and Indonesia Institute for Corporate Governance (IICG) in Jakarta, Tuesday (19/12).
Harry M. Zen feels grateful and proud as this is the eighth time that Telkom gets crowned as the Most Trusted Company based on the CGPI. "The accolade as the most trusted company is a proof that the implementation of company management in Telkom is smooth," Harry said.
"As a digital telecommunications company with more than 52 years experience, Telkom pays attention to the management policies as one of the strategies to maintain the company. Therefore, the accolade motivates us to implement good management aspects in the company business operations," he added.
The Most Trusted Company accolade is evaluated by many participants that consist of open companies, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), regional-owned enterprises (ROEs) and the private sector, based on numerous aspects consisting of commitment, transparency, accountability, responsibility, independence, fairness, competence, mission, leadership, collaboration, and risk. Speaking of risk management aspect, the evaluation aligns with the theme of Change Management for GCG.
CGPI is a research and GCG implementation rating program in prominent companies in Indonesia through research design. Through the research, companies are expected to improve its quality of corporate governance concept implementation.
With the theme of Good Corporate Governance in Sustainability Perspective, Indonesia The Most Trusted Companies Award 2017 was held to appreciate public companies, non-public companies, SOEs and ROEs that are committed and consistent in implementing Good Corporate Governance continuously.
