Telkom Strengthens Synergy with Kimia Farma to Implement Digitalization, Improve Operations Excellence

Bandung, 27 December 2017 – The rapid development of information and communication technology (ICT) forces corporations to adapt so it could build sustainable businesses. Therefore, PT Kimia Farma Tbk (Kimia Farma) synergizes with PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk (Telkom) to improve digitalization in Kimia Farma work environment.

The partnership is marked by the signing of Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on Kimia Farma digitalization by Managing Director of Kimia Farma, Honesti Basyir, and Enterprise & Business Service Director of Telkom, Dian Rachmawan, in Bandung, Wednesday (27/12).

The digitalization of Kimia Farma includes providing cloud and network, hardware, and integrate application system that’s also integrated to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that’s been implement by Kimia Farma since October 2016. The application system provided by Telkom, which consists of smart stock, omnichannel, customer loyalty, big data analytics, clinic integration, dispute settlement program, and home care service.

As the first and biggest pharmaceutical state-run company (SOE) in Indonesia, Kimia Farma commits to improve its capacity into a digital-based pharmaceutical industry.

Enterprise & Business Service Director of Telkom, Dian Rachmawan, welcomes the synergy of SOEs between Telkom and Kimia Farma. "Thank you to Kimia Farma for trusting Telkom. With the digital ecosystem capability of Telkom that’s also supported by the telecommunications infrastructure that reaches even remote islands, we believe we could improve the implementation of ICT or digitalization in Kimia Farma. So we could improve our services to customers and the public, and strengthen Kimia Farma as a leading player in the healthcare industry in Indonesia," Dian said.

Dian added that Kimia Farma digitalization program is also expected to fulfill the hopes of the SOE Ministry on digitalization of SOEs in Indonesia. Kimia Farma digitalization is one of the forms of Telkom’s commitment to support the improvement of SOE operations supremacy through integrated ICT implementation, Dian added.

Meanwhile, Managing Director of Kimia Farma, Honesti Basyir, appreciates Telkom’s support to digitalization in Kimia Farma. "Kimia Farma will also work hard to improve the quality of health services in Indonesia. To become a prominent healthcare company and becoming a global player in the pharmaceutical industry, we will implement digitalization from the upstream to the downstream to the business value chain of Kimia Farma that includes production to retail (pharmacy). The technology implementation will simplify the business process and improve customer experience so out services to customers will become more optimal," Honesti Basyir said.

In the future, the partnership is expected to improve the quality of products and services of both SOEs, whether in the national and global level, so it could provide added value and benefits to all stakeholders.
