Densus 88 Foils Suspected Terrorists´ Plan to Bomb Police Station

The National Police’s Densus 88 counterterrorism squad arrested two suspected terrorists initialed K and NH in Bima, Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB). Both of them attempted to bomb Wahor Police Sub-precinct Station in Bima last night.

"They planned to bomb Wahor Police Sub-precinct Station, Bima tonight," said the National Police (Polri) spokesperson Insp. Gen. Setyo Wasisto, Sunday (18/6).

Both of them were arrested on Saturday (17/6) around 15.55 WITA (Central Indonesia Time-Zone).

"If Densus didn’t figure out their plan, they could have bombed the sub-precinct police station," Setyo said. Densus 88 has also confiscated some evidence.

The confiscated evidence are a homemade bomb, a katana, and an air gun. The suspects have been detained in the Mobile Brigade’s detention center (Mako Brimob), and they’ve been questioned about the attempt. (dtc/mfb)
