JAKARTA, GRES.NEWS - Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (Ahok) will remain in the Jakarta Police Mobile Brigade (brimob)’s detainment facility, based on the request of LP Cipinang prison, where the former Jakarta Governor is supposed to serve his sentence.
"Yes, he will stay there [for the time being]. He will not be transferred," said Ahok’s lawyer Ronny Talapessy, after visiting Ahok on Thursday (22/6).
Ahok, he says, is staying in 2 3 meter cell. Meanwhile, Jakarta Police Mobile Brigade Head of Operations, Waris Agono, assures Ahok is not receiving any extra facilities.
Ahok’s lawyers have been claiming how Ahok has been cooperative with the law. "He has always complied with the police," Ronny said.
The LP Cipinang prison sent letter to the Jakarta Police Mobile Brigade to temporarily detain Ahok in their detainment facility on 19 June. (dtc/rm)
