KPK Arrests Judge and Bribers in Bengkulu

JAKARTA, GRES.NEWS – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has arrested another judge in a break-in operation, Thursday (7/9).

The judge, whom KPK is yet to reveal the identity, was arrested along with several people who were the bribers. In the operation, KPK confiscated money worth several hundred million rupiah.
The suspects are being detained at the Bengkulu Police headquarters.

"KPK will declare their status within 24 hours," said Febri Diansyah, Head of Public Relations Bureau, KPK, Thursday

Bengkulu Police Chief, Herman Herman, has confirmed that arrest. He revealed that the case concerns convicted Wilson.

Wilson was acting director of the Bengkulu Regional Finance and Asset Income and Management Agency (BPKAD). He has been convicted to 1 year and 3 months in prison on 14 August 2017 for corruption that cost the nation Rp590 million (US$44,377.617). (dtc/rm)
