JAKARTA, GRES.NEWS – Setya Novanto may have won in the pretrial to cancel his suspect status in the electronic resident identity card (e-KTP) strategic project, but the Directorate General of Immigration has extended his ban from leaving the country.
The ban extends until April 2018. "The ban applies for 6 months," said Agung Sampurno, Public Relations, Directorate General of Immigration, Tuesday (3/10/2017).
"The ban will end on 1 April 2018," he said.
Agung explained that the ban was based on request from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Monday (2/10).
"It is related to the investigation by KPK in the e-KTP corruption in the Ministry of Internal Affairs," Agung said. (dtc/mfb)
