JAKARTA, GRES.NEWS – A Survey Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) survey result has revealed that President Joko Widodo’s electability or the 2019 Presidential Election remains high at 33 percent.
Politics analyst Djayadi Hanan said Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has a chance to win again in condition that he can maintain his image and performance next year. He received a score of above 70 percent in a public satisfaction survey, according to him
"The requirements [for him to win the next election] are: the public’s satisfaction remains above 70 percent, the economy grows well and the public’s evaluation on the government’s programs are positive," Djayadis aid, Jakarta, Saturday (Nov.4).
However, Dyajadi remind Jokowi that he still has a lot of homework, for instance, he needs to accelerate the country’s economic growth from around 5 percent to at least 7 percent.
As for Prabowo Subianto, Djayadi predicts the politician needs to build a ‘stage’ for himself to be reported by the media if he intends to compete with Joko Widodo. In the survey, Prabowo only obtained a score of 25 percent.
The result is logical as Joko Widodo has been reported by the media more frequently. (dtc/mfb)
