KPK Summons PT Gajah Tunggal Director to Investigate BDNI Scandal

JAKARTA, GRES.NEWS – KPK issues a summons against the Director of PT Gajah Tunggal, Ferry Lawrentius Hollen, to question him about the issuance of clearance letters (SKL) by the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (BPPN) to Indonesian National Trade Bank (BDNI). KPK summons him to follow up the summons on Wednesday (1/11) as the summoned party was absent.

Ferry is going to be questioned as a witness for suspect Syafruddin Arsyad Temenggung, former Chairman of BPPN. Hollen was the General Manager of PT Gajah Tunggal’s General Affairs and Human Resources Development.

"Ferry Lawrentius Hollen is scheduled to be questioned for suspect SAT (Syafruddin Arsyad Temenggung)," said KPK spokesperson Febri Diansyah, Monday (13/11).

Regarding PT Gajah Tunggal, KPK has summoned former President Commissioner and Financial Director of PT Gajah Tunggal, Mulyati Gozali, as a witness. Mulyati was also absent.

Syafruddin has been named as a suspect in the issuance of clearance letters (SKL) for Sjamsul Nursalim, the main shareholder of BDNI who has an obligation to BPPN.

KPK reveals that Syafruddin recommended the approval of revised Financial System Stability Committee (KKSK) on a litigation against responsible parties to become the restructuring on assets transfer obligation by Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI) liable to BPPN for Rp4.8 trillion.

The Supreme Audit Agency’s (BPK) latest audit result shows the state loses Rp4.58 trillion because of the issue. The state loss increases as Rp1.1 trillion that’s considered sustainable got auctioned and only Rp220 billion was received. The remaining Rp4.59 trillion becomes the state loss. (dtc/rm)
