JAKARTA, GRES.NEWS – The Jakarta Government has launched a program to whiten unpaid motor vehicle tax. Motor vehicle owners have up to 23 December 2017 to take advantage of the program.
Meanwhile, the Jakarta Government is cooperating with the Jakarta Police to inspect motor vehicles to find owners who have not been paying their motor vehicle tax.
"Motor vehicle owners should maximize this whitening program," Anies said, Wednesday (29/11).
The program will whiten motor vehicle tax that has not been paid in the past five years. "I have discussed the program with the Jakarta Traffic Police. The police will inspect motor vehicles with tax debts or have not been re-registered," he said.
According to Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan, 649,000 four wheeled vehicles and 3.3 million motorcycles have not been paying tax. The debt reach a combined total of Rp1.7 trillion. (dtc/mfb)
