JAKARTA, GRES.NEWS – The Construction and Administration Monitor and Guidance (TP4D) of the Jakarta Prosecutors Office is monitoring the beach embankment project in Jakarta Utara. The project is worth Rp85 billion (US$ 6,273,000) and is targeted to be completed in December 2017.
"We have seen obstacles impeding the construction’s progress. That’s why we really have to monitor the construction," Febri Ardiansyah, Vice Chief Justic, Jakarta Prosecutors Office, Thursday (30/11).
The TP4D team emphasizes the importance of the construction being completed on time. "It must be completed on time, so that the financial report can be better accounted for, or to better assure that no fund was embezzled," Febri said.
The project aims at blocking the tidal floods that floods the houses of nearby residents.
"We hope the floods that have been happening for years can end. Just a little bit of tidal flood would inundate several housing complexes. The project is considered a national strategic project that we have been tasked to monitor and guide so that it is completed on time and no problems occur in the construction," he said. (dtc/mfb)
