KPK BLocks Witnesses from Leaving Country in BLBI Case

JAKARTA, GRES.NEWS – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has prevented seven witnesses in the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance (BLBI), with former Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (BPPN) director Syafruddin Arsyad Termenggung as the defendant.

The witnesses in question are German Kartadinata alias Robert (since 2 November 2017), Yusuf Swasya (since 7 November 2017), Mulyati Gozali since (7 November 2017), Ferry Lawrentius Hollen since (9 December 2017), Benny Gozali since (9 November 2017), Laura Rahardja since (28 November 2017) and Maria Veronika since (28 November 2017).

They prevention applies for the next six months. "They are witnesses whom we need information for the investigation on Syafruddin," said Febri Diansyah, Public Relations Director, KPK, Thursday (Dec.7).

Meanwhile, in the latest Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) audit report, the BLBI case has cost the nation Rp4.58 trillion. (dtc/mfb)
