JAKARTA, GRES.NEWS – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) achieved a milestone as it has named a corporation, PT Duta Graha Indah, now PT Nusa Konstruksi Enjiniring, as a suspect.

PT Duta Graha Indah will be the first corporation to be charged with corruption by KPK, in relation to the Athlete Guesthouse Project in Jakabaring, Palembang.

Syarif said indicting corporations is actually not new in Indonesia as such move have been made by the Attorney General’s Office (AGO), namely against two companies allegedly involved in corruption.
KPK said it will start indicting corporations involved in corruption based on the Supreme Court Regulation No.13/2016 on Corporate Corruption Crimes.

PT Duta Graha Indah won two construction projects that KPK suspects were surrounded by corruption, namely the construction of RS Pendidikan Udayana hospital, and the athlete guesthouse and the multiuse building in South Sumatera. The case began when KPK conducted a break-in operation to apprehend Mindo Rosalina Manulang, Muhammad El-Idris and Wafid Muharam. (dtc)
